Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counsellor Movie Review
I know I'm really late on this review. However, I still wanted to let you know what I thought about it. I know it may sound cliche however 'The grass is not always greener on the other side'. This movie cast includes Vanessa Williams, Lance Gross, Jurnee-Smolett Bell, Robbie Jones, Brandy Norwood, Renee Taylor and last but not least Kim Kardashian. I am a fan of Tyler Perry and will admit that with no shame. This movie, I think was pretty great however , it just seemed to be missing something but I am not sure what. Over all I would give it a 3.5/5. The story line does not get exciting until halfway through the movie and it features a marriage counsellor who delivers a cautionary tale to a young married woman considering having an affair with someone else because she is not happy in her marriage. It definitely has a big lesson to learn at the end , unfourtunately you must wait until the end of the movie to find out. While Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Williams do not have big roles in the movie, I cannot say that their acting was horrible and they delivered for the roles that they were given. Lance Gross and Jurnee Smollett-Bell are able to illustrate the ups and downs that many marriages today have, would I recommend this movie to just about anyone probably not. However , the lesson is very strong at the end and helps people learn to be contented with all they have. Without giving too much away the actor Robbie Jones is like the Bentley that you so long to drive and Lance Gross is your everyday car that you cannot seem to be satisfied or happy with. I just feel perhaps if the movie had more drama it would've been alot more interesting and engaged viewers more. Some of it seemed boring , while the story and message are strong. I think this could be a great curl up on the couch movie to watch with maybe girlfriends or your significant other. I would not call it a well rounded movie for everyone to watch. Anyways, the cast did a great job and maybe for me it was too serious and not eventful enough.
